What is Pay-Per-Click?

Pay-per-click advertising, or PPC, is a type of online advertising in which advertisers pay to display ads for their goods or services. When people perform a search online, ads which are relevant to their search queries appear in the search results. The advertisers only have to pay when a user actually clicks on their ad (hence the name “pay-per-click”). You’ve probably noticed the advertisements that appear alongside or at the top of search results in search engines like Google and Bing. This is PPC. You have probably also seen ads (usually with the words “promoted” or “sponsored”) on social networks like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. These are a special type of social media marketing known as “Social PPC”.

The great thing about PPC compared to SEO is that instead of taking months (or years) to get your website pages to rank organically in a search engine, you can just pay to have it rank almost instantly. What should I expect once I purchase my PPC campaign?

Once you order is successfully placed, within 24 business hours we will assign you a project manager who will be your primary point of contact and will reach out to you to schedule a campaign kick-off call. The call will be useful to understand your requirements, campaign objectives and discuss account strategies. Following the on-boarding call we will launch the campaign and begin by doing extensive keyword research. Following that we will begin creating your ads. Ad creation is usually a collaborative process which requires some input from you, and on average it takes 1-2 weeks to finalize the ad copies. Once the ads are running, we will reach out weekly and monthly with updates on progress and any changes required to help improve performance.

How much does PPC cost?

How do I know that PPC is working for me?

We provide total transparency into the work that we perform. You will be given access to a custom reporting dashboard that shows every PPC action being performed both on and off your website. You will be able to track every action performed, as well as monitor keyword movement and overall performance. We also provide weekly and monthly updates for all PPC clients to review campaign activity and performance, ensuring that your goals are indeed being achieved.

Does it put my ad on the top page of Google every time?

No, and in most cases, you wouldn’t want it to be. The Google Ads system does not just take into account the bid price when arranging the sponsored ads. The position of any ad takes into account over 100 different factors including your quality score, volume of clicks, and website & content relevancy, enabling Google to deliver the right results to end users and empowering smaller advertisers to compete with other advertisers who have much higher budgets.

Will it guarantee sales and leads to our business?

No. Just like any type of advertising, Google Ads can never guarantee any sure sales or customers (in fact Google explicitly prohibits making guarantees about SEO and PPC). Once your ads are posted on Google Search, we can no longer control the decisions of your potential customers. The most that we can do is target the right people at the right time. We can get the traffic to come to you and even persuade them to take a specific action to contact you, but ultimately it will be up to you to close the deal.

Are landing pages always recommended, or can I just use my website/homepage?

A great landing page is critical for any PPC campaign to be effective. People clicking on your PPC ads are more likely to have a strong purchase intent compared to general browsers, hence the landing page needs to be optimized to meet their expectations.
